I should’ve done mine in walnut. I did the pickguard and the armrest in birdseye maple and stained them walnut color. Oh, well–live and learn.

Did you hand bevel this piece?

Hi Mr. Horton,
I cut it out with a jig-saw then I used files to get the rough shape, then sand paper and finally steel wool. Then I finish them with oil and wax.
