These live Birdland clips of Frank Vignola’s Guitar Night are a treat. The piano player was missing last week so there’s a ton of great chord comping ideas from both guitar players. Most are beyond me, but I stole a couple of things. I’m finishing up a batch of archtop pickups like Pasquale’s for guitar builder Bryant Trenier at the moment. I’ll post some pics here so check back.
Single Pickup 5 String
I just finished this single pickup mandolin and wanted to test it out. It has just a single pickup slightly forward of the bridge position. Made for musician Hank Shizzoe. Hank has a new album coming out in Sept. You can check it out here.

Bill Frisell Trio
Here’s some great inspiration, Bill with Rudy Royston, drums and Thomas Morgan on bass. Bill is using his ‘birds’ tele with my SV pickup in the neck. The pickup is based on a Stratosphere pickup with 1/4” slug magnets.
