Progress Picture
I’m getting close on a couple of Specials and these two 5 string mandolins. The finished one is my personal that I built while I had the Glenn Tarver Bigsby in the shop a few years back. I was lucky to have access to it for a month. I also had it X-rayed.

Fixed Tailpiece Roadmaster
Here’s a fresh swamp ash Roadmaster that features a few new items,
- A fixed cast aluminum tailpiece. I made a batch of these last year and I’m finally getting around to using them.
- New pickups I’m calling SV-1s, they feature plastic covers in cream, black or brown. Lacquer potted with slotted nickel fillister head pole pieces.
- And a new label designed by Chris Wilkinson. I’ll be using these in all of my guitars from here on out.
Sierra Ferrell Session
Last August Stu Hibberd asked if I’d like play electric guitar on this Sierra Ferrell recording. I was out of playing shape and almost said no. I’m glad I took the time to get in shape. If you’re unaware of Sierra you can check out more of her performances on Youtube. She’s amazing! I used my Special with a fixed vibrato arm into a Magnatone 213. Reverb was added later.
